Collection

Collection is a type of note but also container, which is core concept in remio for high-level knowledge aggregation and abstraction.

Notes be added to a specific collection, and turn to be sub-notes to the collection. You can add 1 note into multiple collections

remio design prioritizes knowledge relationships (reflected in the connections between notes and Collections) over traditional manual management methods like folders or tags. Collections aim to help users achieve faster knowledge and resource management in a faster way. You can use collection as a pure container, or a overall note which also contains subnotes.

Sub-notes can be normal note or collection in remio. A single note/collection can also belong to multiple Collections.

Collections are displayed as cards in lists, similar to normal notes, and can be quickly accessed from the side navigation.

You can add notes to a existing Collection or a normal note. Then the normal note will turns to be a collection. remio may also recommend existing Collections to add to or suggest creating a new one based on the note's topic.

The detail view of a Collection displays the notes that are part of it, listed below the main body of the Collection. Users can remove notes from a Collection from this view.

When new notes are added, the user will be prompted to blend these new notes into the existing content of the Collection.

In future updates, remio plans to allow users to bulk add notes to a Collection directly from the reference section displayed on the side.

When using remio ask or smart writing features, Collections and the notes they contain will be considered as relevant reference material.
